David J. Badolato, M.D. is Founder and CEO of Life Laboratory. Dr. Badolato is a Board certified family physician and has been practicing in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania since 1978. His activities, in addition to patient care and practice leadership, have been focused on models of family practice which implement best practices and are committed to quality outcomes. In addition to his leadership of the nine physician, 14,000 patient family practice, he has provided authorship and leadership of Life Laboratory, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving healthcare quality through demonstration models and demonstration of proof of concept.
He was Board certified by the American Board of Family Practice initially in 1978 and has continued the every six year re-certification to maintain maximum certification status. His three year Residency training program was at Abington Memorial Hospital, Abington, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Hahnemann Medical College, achieving an M.D. in 1975. His undergraduate education was at LaSalle College, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he earned a B.A. in biology in 1971. 
He has also participated in healthcare projects such as a population outreach program for breast cancer and colorectal cancer early detection and the co-creation of a primary care quality of care performance assessment program, first launched in 1991.  He has presented on models of quality care in the region of Southeastern Pennsylvania, in Pennsylvania, and in national venues. He continues to collaborate with the leadership of The American Academy of Family Practice, The Pennsylvania Academy of Family Practice and the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Dr Badolato is a Senior Fellow in The Jefferson School of Population Health.
His current and future activities will remain focused on both the practice of medicine and the co-creation of models of quality healthcare.
